Looking for a new job?

Our current world is not what it was a year ago and many people are now looking for a new job. The good news is that there is a lot of help online and that is what we focus on in this blog.

The Indeed job site has over 250 million unique visitors every month. As well as advertising new roles they offer a whole range of advice to help you find the right role and how to be the winning candidate (and no I'm not getting a handout from Indeed, this is my personal opinion).

Timings not added as sites are exploratory

📖  In the finding-a-job area of the site they have guides that include - How to respond to an employer interview request, what to do if you aren't hearing back from employers and how to change careers.

📖  Their section on CVs and Cover Letters explains How to write a cover letter, how to use action verbs to make your CV stand out and the best skills to include in a CV.

📖  Interviewing explains how to make a great impression, how to deal with the dreaded 'strengths and weaknesses' question (one I personally dislike) and provides tips for phone interviews.

💬  This area of the site also includes guidance on the invaluable STAR Interview response technique. If you want to try a different source try this more informal video from Guardian Jobs.

If you know any great resources that should be included please share them.
